Jesse is a relative newcomer to Yoga. After experimenting with beer brewing, weight lifting, and cage fighting, he attended night school to become a licensed massage therapist, graduating with distinction in 2015. Becoming fascinated by the human body’s movements in kinesiology class and how bodywork can help recover from injuries to restore mobility, Jesse set out to study Thai Yoga massage. To compliment his bodywork practice, he began taking Yoga classes regularly at Yoga Goodness in 2016 and was immediately hooked on incorporating OM Yoga’s principles of alignment into his own life and the lives of his bodywork clients. After diligently attending classes for over a year, he decided to give teaching a try, first completing courses in Pranayama, Restorative Yoga, and Reusi Dat Ton before becoming a RYT 200 OM Yoga teacher in June of 2017. With a focus on the more inward aspects of Yoga, Jesse has an eye to train in Yoga Nidra in the near future, motivating his students to find their own inner space of calm and peace.
The Yoga Goodness Studio is in the historic Riverviews building in downtown Lynchburg, VA where you will enjoy beautiful views of the James Rivers.
