Amanda Sandos completed her 200 hour and 500 hour Teacher Training, along with Pranayama, Restorative and Advanced Meditation Teacher Training with Cyndi Lee,founder of the Om Yoga tradition, and she received her Nia White Belt from Helen
Terry. She teaches at Yoga Goodness Studio in Virginia, also founded by Cyndi Lee. A member of the Village Zendo in New York, she studies Soto Zen Buddhist practices under Roshi Enkyo O’Hara. In addition, her mother and grandmother were both
professional dance teachers, and Amanda has danced professionally both with her mother’s dance troupe, Reel Virginia, and the Greensboro Folk Dancers and is proud to have performed all over the world in venues like The Kennedy Center. Her yoga
teaching practice draws heavily from both her Buddhist training and her dance background, often incorporating mindfulness practices, dharma, and compassion, with a steady, and seamless flow of movement. Everything good she has to offer comes from her teachers.
A former zookeeper turned artist, Amanda now paints animals for animals, while also running a successful pet sitting business in Virginia. Passionate about animals and the environment, her art has been auctioned by the Mara Conservancy, the Nature Conservancy, and the Oceanic Society to raise money for conservation in the wild.
